"In the balance of power with the United States, we give in on everything," the MEP chokes. "Because they threatened to impose 30% customs duties, we consider ourselves satisfied to have 15% for our products exported to the United States, but 0% for products that arrive," he mocks.

"It's an advantage for the United States, but it goes further," worries Aleksandar Nikolic, who points out that "600 billion in mandatory investments in the United States" were included in the agreement, "rather than investing in Europe in the modernization of the industrial apparatus, precisely to ensure that production costs are lower and our industry more efficient." He adds that " the purchase of 750 billion over three years of American energy products, that is to say shale oil and gas" will "cost 4 to 5 times more" than current purchases because "you will have the transport, plus the fact of liquefying this gas , whereas we have the capacity, in France, via nuclear power, to be able to rely on cheaper electricity."
